Exercise Physiologist

**Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Part Time, Day Shift Exercise Physiologist for Cardiovascular Therapy. This is an “intensive cardiac rehab program” under Pritikin, that also offers Pulmonary and Vascular Rehab.**
- Assists in coordinating and implementing all phases of education and exercise therapy programs for the rehabilitation of persons with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease.
- Assists in collection of data to complete the initial patient assessment, the development of an exercise plan and a plan for education about life-style modification for Phase I and II cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients.
- Monitors and treats patients during exercise, assisting with modification of the exercise plan and conducts patient education.

**Job Requirements**:

- ** Education**: Bachelor's Level Degree in either Exercise Science or Kinesiology._ _
- **License/Certification**: BLS Required. Must achieve ACLS certification within one year of employment.
- ** Experience**: New grads will be considered provided an internship or clinical rotation has been completed in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab.

**Hours**:

- Monday - Friday, Day shift availability
- No weekends No major holidays
