Alternative Program Teacher

**West Noble Middle School (WNMS) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated teacher to join our Alternative Program team.**

**About the Program**:
The WNMS Alternative Program provides a supportive and structured learning environment for students who require a different approach to traditional middle school. Our program focuses on academic success, social-emotional learning, and building positive relationships with students.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Facilitate and guide student learning using the Edmentum curriculum.** This includes monitoring progress, providing individualized support, and ensuring students are meeting learning objectives.
- ** Develop supplementary materials and activities** to enhance the Edmentum curriculum and cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- ** Integrate social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies** to promote positive behavior and foster student growth.
- Collaborate with the Alternative Program team, including social workers, counselors, and administration, to develop education plans and monitor student progress.
- Build strong relationships with students, fostering a sense of trust and respect within the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed student records and communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with students who require academic and/or behavioral support.
- Strong classroom management skills.
