**Job Overview**:
The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, supporting, and implementing programming for school age children, their parents, and schools primarily for qualifying families from Afghanistan and Ukraine. Responsibilities include building partnerships, enhancing staff capacity, connecting parents to educational resources, promoting social-emotional wellness, and running enrichment programs. This role reports to the Youth Program Supervisor and supervises Youth Program Specialists.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of education and youth integration programming for primarily Afghan and Ukrainian families, including parent capacity building and engagement services, tutoring programs, programs focusing on social and emotional well-being, after-school and school break programs, and summer enrichment programs for Afghan and Ukrainian youth.
- Collaborate with local schools to offer comprehensive professional development training for educators and practitioners to support Afghan and Ukrainian students and their unique needs.
- Ensure participant eligibility and implement a monitoring and evaluation structure to determine areas for improvement.
- Maintain communication on program status and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and grant requirements and reporting.
- Supervise a team of Youth Program Specialists and interns, supporting their professional growth.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive team training and complete performance management plans, progress meetings, and evaluations as per IRC standards.
- Collaborate to maintain and develop partner relationships, determine student and family needs, and conduct outreach events in collaboration with the Youth and other departments at Afghan and Ukrainian community cultural locations or events to raise awareness of the program and recruit participants.
- Actively participate in the IRC internal Education & Youth network through recurring meetings, resource sharing, collaborative initiatives, and program data tracking, while also assisting in resource development and grant proposal writing to support the youth and education work of IRC Phoenix.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in education, social work, or a related field.
- 2-5 years in children/youth education or social programs, including supervising staff or volunteers. Experience with refugees/immigrants or cross-cultural work is a plus.
- Knowledge of standards for high-quality youth programming, including engaging content, and strong safeguarding, safety, and security measures.
- Experience delivering training and professional development to adults. Knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in documenting program services and tracking data to monitor against program benchmarks to meet reporting and funder requirements.
- Ability to promote an organizational culture reflecting service, accountability, integrity, and equality. Leadership that values collaboration of diverse cultures and perspectives.
- Fluency in English; both spoken and written; bilingual ability in Dari, Ukrainian, Pashto, or Russian is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, reliable transportation, and eligibility to receive a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.

**Working Environment**:

- A combination of standard office environment and ‘field’ time in and around the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
- This position may involve occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate participants’ schedules.
