- May require valid Texas Commercial Driver License with endorsements within 90 days of hire.
- Must be able to become certified for Respiratory Protection and Confined-Space Entry Program within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification.

**South Austin Regional receives wastewater flow from Austin Water Utility’s sanitary sewer collection system and treats it before returning it to the Colorado River. South Austin Regional is also a key facility in meeting Austin’s reclaimed water needs for non-potable water.**

**The Treatment Plant Worker position provides site support by performing building and campus maintenance and assists technicians in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment.**

- **Retention Incentive Bonus**:

- This position may be eligible for an Incentive Bonus of up to **$3,000**
- **$500** after 90 days.
- **$500** after 180 days.
- **$1,000** after 1 year.
- **$1,000** after 2 years.

**Driving Requirement**:
This position requires a valid current Texas Class “C” Driver License or the ability to acquire one by your hire date. External New Hires must meet the **City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation (**DRE**) requisite**. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Manual labor experience including but not limited to equipment and building maintenance, routine painting, plumbing, or construction.
- Experience using various industrial lawn care equipment such as gas powered weed-eater & blowers, hydro-static riding mower, chain saws, pneumatic power tools, pressure washer, and hand tools.
- Industrial Math Skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices required in an industrial or shop environment.
- Organizational Skills.
