- *I am looking for someone who is nerdy, compassionate, self-disciplined, flexible, willing to do whatever needs to be done, and allergic to drama.* *Nerdy: I will be teaching you all about anesthesia, we will put people to sleep and wake them up as a team and I will train you in the anesthesia emergency management protocol. We will also need someone who is comfortable with computers and can figure out how to use various online tools and apps like Canva, Google Docs/Sheets/Calendar/Flights, Trello, and others. This job will be fun if you are mega-nerdy like me* *Compassionate: most of our patients are afraid of either anesthesia, dentistry, or both. I am looking for someone who can be compassionate with patients and family members who are afraid or uncomfortable, and compassionate with the staff members of the offices we work in. If you are forgiving enough to have long-term relationships in your life, please apply If your life is a revolving door of short-term relationships that end in fire and ice, please don’t apply* *Self-disciplined: We start really early, and we usually end really early too. I love that about the job, but that means you will need to be self-disciplined enough to get good sleep and show up to work on time with a clear head early in the morning. If you wake up with a hangover on a regular basis, stay up until 2:00 am binge watching NetFlix every night, spend your paycheck at the dispensary, or you know the local judges by their first names, this is not the job for you* *Flexible: our schedule is different and unpredictable every day, the way we provide anesthesia is constantly evolving, and we work with dozens of different dental teams. Some days will be clinical anesthesia days and some will be working on other projects inside and outside of anesthesia.
