**Posting Title: Landscape Maintenance Tech Overview**:
We are seeking a Grounds Landscape Maintenance Technician to work at the Catholic University.

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma/G.E.D. and 2-3 years, unless exceptional education or specialized work experience can be documented.

Knowledge of proper planting/ transplanting techniques for trees, shrubs and ornamentals.
Knowledge of plant diseases and plant pest diagnosis.
Knowledge of proper safe operation of mowing equipment, edging, trimming, blowing, chain saw and other grounds equipment and machines.
Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints oriented towards horticultural projects.
Ability to plan and schedule work to accomplish assigned tasks.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
Some knowledge of construction techniques and practices as applied to roads, sidewalks, storm drains concrete and asphalt projects

This position is an essential function/employee position. Employees in this classification will be required to report to work or remain at work during inclement weather and/or other campus events or emergencies. Driver’s license is required.
