Description:
PURPOSE:
Attend to all the paperwork and booking of trucks for Compact Ind. in the shipping and receiving departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Schedule and deploy all LTL and trailers loads for outbound shipments.
- Receive and book LTL and trailers for inbound/outbound shipments.
- Prepare all documents associated with these shipments.
- Schedule the dock doors.
- Work with Customer Services on request/issues daily.
- Work with Procurement on inbound appointments for inbound shipments.
- Prepare tasks for forklift drivers daily.
- Check all paperwork created for accuracy.
- Prepare tasks for forklift drivers on a daily basis.
- Maintain and follow GMP’s.
- Assist Manager when needed or take over time off and absents for all Logistic clerks.
- Review orders in Syspro.
- Organize paperwork and confirm before turning over to accounting.
- Review inventory movements for accuracy and first in first out (FIFO) control.
- Train when necessary.
- Verify sales orders against outbound shipping log.
- Organize paperwork and confirm before turning over to accounting.

Occasional, Infrequent:

- Assist in company wide and/or customer specific stock takes.
- Assist in audit preparation of area.
- Assist using MHE.
- Cycle counting.

**Requirements**:
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Able to lift boxes for UPS shipments.
- Walking, standing, and sitting during the shift.
- Outside sealing or cutting seals for trailers rain or shine

COMPUTER SKILLS:

- Microsoft Office, Syspro, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, bar code scanner, FedEx, and UPS computer system.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to Multitask daily.
- Must be very accurate with paperwork.
- Attention to detail and must be very accurate with paperwork.
- May be asked to work overtime, either staying late in day or Saturday’s.
- Organize and detail oriented.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Learn about our Products and other departments within.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- High School or equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

- Knowledge of a pick and pack, shipping, receiving, warehouse.
- Food industry is a plus.
