This role requires an understanding of the drug discovery process, R&D technology, and R&D processes so the individual can provide GSK laboratory-based scientists with innovative services and outstanding experience. This is a role which requires providing support for GSK laboratory-based scientists with and through 3rd party providers and leading continuous improvement and innovative projects and programs deployments.
**_ Key Responsibilities_**:
- This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following._
- GSK lead for global service provider forums (comm cells for example) to drive global standards, sharing of best practices, escalation of service specific issues for support and resolution
- Act as the primary liaison between the GSK Site Operations team, specialist service partner, and Scientific Services CoE for service project deployments, change management, and escalations.
- Act as primary liaison between GSK R&D Scientific Operations and SS CoE, enabling insight into lab specific priorities and challenges.
- Partner with service partner on assessing new scope requests (new TLS support needs for example).
- Drive best practices regarding Quality and Safety in labs, meeting all regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Manage key projects and programs within the scientific services portfolio, ensure on time delivery of commitments.
- Act as expert scientific consultant on in-lab sustainability solutions proposals for scientific impact or implications
- Providing third party management support for specialist scientific partner:
- Evaluation of contract change proposals for alignment to contract statement of work (SoW) and level of effort assessment.
- Management of annual specialist supplier PO’s for approved values, invoice review and approvals with GOA
- Supplier training compliance and periodic role specific curriculum evaluation
- Site and service GEMBAs, evaluating risks, quality, embedding of service standards, overall performance.
- Support translation and understanding of GSK requirements, processes, and systems as needed to ensure compliance to critical safety and quality standards.
- Fieldglass manager for specialist science service partner resources
- Act as first line of escalation for operations issues within our specialist scientific services, driving issues to resolution or determining need for upward escalation.
- Liaise with GSK quality and EHS functions to ensure good communication on expectations and ways of working.

- We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:_
- Bachelors’ degree.
- 5+ years’ experience supporting scientific laboratory projects.
- 1+ years’ experience leading people or matrix teams.
- Experience working in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Experience using project management skills.
- Experience utilizing scientific expertise to enable translation of R&D requirements into operational solutions.
- Experience with how technology can be applied and leveraged in the discovery of medicines.
- Stakeholder engagement experience.
- Experience guiding and leading business operations.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
