This position will:

- **EFFECTIVELY FACILITATE LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM by**:

- developing, planning, organizing, scheduling and leading diverse programs that ensure the emotional, educational, physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the residents are met.
- ensuring that programs are provided and on-going seven days-a-week, including evenings.
- responsible for the facilitation of scheduling, set up, introduction of guest speakers, as necessary, and attendance at programs, including evenings and weekends.
- developing and maintaining a volunteer program with residents and community.
- **EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATES LIFE ENRICHMENT RELATED ACTIVITIES by**:

- promoting and providing opportunities for the residents of Lathrop to maintain the highest level of activity through participation in the programs available.
- developing, posting and distributing a written and electronic daily and monthly calendar of events.
- maintaining and distributing a weekly publication of events and announcements.
- **EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATES LIFE ENRICHMENT RELATED ACTIVITIES by**:

- promoting and providing opportunities for the residents of Lathrop to maintain the highest level of activity through participation in the programs available.
- developing, posting and distributing a written and electronic daily and monthly calendar of events.
- maintaining and distributing a weekly publication of events and announcements.
- **MAINTAINS RESIDENT RELATIONS AND SATISFACTION by**:

- serving as a liaison to resident committees such as the program, music and art committees.
- initiating contact and provide guidance to new residents to orient them to the program calendar, determine appropriate activities of interest and engagement.
- ensuring that the residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, and civil rights are maintained at all times.
- maintaining confidentiality of all staff and resident information.
- seeking a higher level of resident satisfaction through effective communication with residents.
- assisting in monitoring of resident services to ensure a greater level of resident satisfaction.
- initiating and maintain appropriate relationships with residents, family members, and staff, acting as a referral resource for information or services.
- orienting new residents to the community and surrounding area.
- acting as liaison between residents and management team.
- **MAINTAINS CONTROL OF OPERATIONS by**:

- maintaining a written record of expenditures; analyzing and adjusting expenditures to remain within budget.
- maintaining equipment and supplies inventory and arranging for repairs as necessary
- **ASSISTS RESIDENTS AND STAFF by**:

- attending resident and staff meetings as required.
- assisting to maintain and keep current Lathrop’s who’s who biographical publication of residents and staff associates.
- performing other duties and assignments as assigned.

**Experience**: Required
- 2 year(s): Bachelor’s Degree in social work, recreational therapy or related field or equivalent related experience is required. A minimum of two years’ experience in recreational or resident services is highly desirable.
