We are recruiting for experienced Hardscape Crew Foreman to join our fast-growing company

Our foreman are responsible, hardworking, self-motivated individuals who enjoy the freedom of working outdoors, take pride in completing a job well done and know that the quality of work is their priority.

This position will work closely with designer/project managers to understand construction plans and install them to the highest quality, on time, as designed and within budget. You will be responsible for planning ahead to gather designs, proposals, materials and equipment needed to efficiently complete projects. Regular communication via phone and in person visits with designer/sales team will be expected.

Hours of Work: This is a seasonal full-time position. This position is a weather-dependent outdoor position, hours may be adjusted at any time. Normal work hours are 40 - 55 hours per week, Monday through Friday with some Saturday work. The normal work year is Spring through Fall; however, hours vary in the winter months for snow removal.

Essential

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct, supervise, and work with crews of 2-4 team members. Promoting safety, performance and well of being of crew members.
- Manage time, productivity, assuring projects are completed as designed.
- Install custom landscape designs projects, as designed, including (but not limited to) patios, retaining walls, free standing walls, steps, low voltage lighting, landscape beds and plantings, grading and decorative wood structures.
- May perform installation or maintenance of water features.
- Provide consistent and timely communication with customers, team members, and Designers/Sales Team throughout the project.
- Communicate modifications based on field conditions, client requests, and/or supply issues to the Designer/Sales Team.
- Utilize hands-on training philosophies and demonstrate a strong work ethic through your example.
- Will require Loading and unloading materials and supplies (requires lifting in excess of 50 pounds or more).
- Operate equipment such as trucks, Bobcats, compactors, trenchers, masonry saws, etc.
- Uses hand tools such as wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, picks, brooms, etc.
- Ensures daily maintenance of tools and equipment (cleaning, sharpening, greasing, fueling, etc.)
- Completes cleanup of work site.
- Assist with snow removal during the winter months as business needs dictate.
- Follows company safety policies and procedures at all times.

Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed outdoors during all seasons.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including inclement weather (rain, snow, heat or cold).
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection is required for duties such as equipment operation that expose the individual to elevated noise levels.
- The duties of this position may expose the individual to chemicals and fertilizers.

**Qualifications**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual will demonstrate and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to effectively communicate and interact positively with all Company personnel, regulatory agencies, customers, consultants and other contractor personnel is also required. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education, Certification and License:

- Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is helpful.

**Experience**:

- 2 Years experience managing and conducting landscape and hardscape projects.
- 2 Years equipment operating experience (loader, bobcat, skid steer, compact excavators, chain saws, (or other equipment used in landscape installation or snow removal).
- Plant identification and care knowledge

Physical Requirements:

- Stands and walks for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Squats, stoops, or kneels and lifts objects from ground frequently.
- Full extension of arms above head and in front of body.
- Consistently lifts weight of up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally carries and pushes/pulls weights of up to 50 pounds.
- Fine motor skills required for use of small equipment and hand tools.

Job Specifications
- This is a Full-time Seasonal position.
- Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 5:00pm (40-55 hours per week) during our peak season (approximately April to November). Saturday hours as needed.
- Hours vary in winter months (approximately December through March) based on snow removal.
- Overtime may be required as workload dictates.

Pay: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
