**Position Summary**:
Performs a variety of operations in the assembly, testing and painting of 1600 pumps. Works from shop orders and bills of materials.

Measures of success:

- % production attainment
- On-time delivery

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Uses power and hand tools and spray guns to assemble and paint product, cartons and packing materials, stapling gun, marking equipment and hoists.
- Gathers and moves parts using dollies. Assembles units using standard practices and procedures, assuring correct fits within tolerances. Uses test stand to ensure products do not leak. Hooks pumps to overhead conveyor and spray paints. Packs materials for shipment.
- Visually checks for quality and repairs defects as required to bring pieces to acceptable quality level. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition. Follows prescribed safety and health rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as required or directed.

**Qualifications**

Required:

- At least 3-months of experience in a production environment, preferably as an assembler
- Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) system to access production and resource data
- Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing and lifting
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes
- Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
- High school diploma or GED

**Work Environment**

The 1600 Pump Assembler will work primarily in the production environment. This position will be required to work in areas where safety equipment or personal protective gear is required.
