**Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement process and ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing department. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

**Duties**:

- Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with buyer to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Coordinate shipments and track deliveries
- Provide administrative support to the purchasing department as needed
- Periodic customer service and account management (answer phones, order entry, etc.)
- Other basics office duties

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge in Food Service Distribution is preferred
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role preferred
- Knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and logistics
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with purchase orders
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
