**Job Overview**: Under the direction of the kitchen manager, the prep staff is responsible for preparing all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes with speed and consistency of quality.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving.
- Use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed and provide cooks with needed items.
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, and fruits).
- Packaging of fruits, vegetables, and salsas.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow Kitchen Supervisor instructions
- Clean up and maintain cooking stations.
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
