The selectee of this position serves as a Lead Investigative Analyst. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing a variety of intelligence data and processing, tracking, and inputting warrants into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.

Duties
As a Lead Investigative Analyst at the GS-1805-11 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Independently gathering, researching, and analyzing various types of data from federal, state, local and public agencies.
Developing reports on a variety of investigative intelligence information to support ongoing investigations.
Providing administrative support and assistance to USMS Criminal Investigators in accomplishing activities for their assigned wanrrant cases.
Assisting administrative staff in balancing workload and implementing problem solving techniques conducive to viable solutions.

You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Must be able to obtain and maintain and Public Trust background investigation.
**Qualifications**:
**GS-11 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS**: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-1805-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:
**Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes: I) Gathering and analyzing various types of data from Federal, state, local and/or public agencies; 2) Monitoring, evaluating and coordinating a variety of warnnts and/or court orders (i.e., for escape prisoners, parole and probation violations, bond defaults, judge's rulings, etc.); 3) Utilizing law enforcement related databases to obtain, monitor, and update information for investigations, warrants, prisoner data, etc.; 4) Distributing and balancing tasks amongst a team; 5) Assessing team effectiveness and making recommendations to improve efficacy in work products. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work perfonned at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
**Education**: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, etc.
OR
**Combination of Education and Experience**: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
