**UPDATE** Central Charter School will be opening our brand-new, 3-story, 110,000 square foot new school just in time for the 2024-2025 school year.

Central Charter School was the first charter school to open in Broward County. Dr. Rosa Lawson, founder, and CEO saw an opportunity to start a school to address the academic and social needs for at-risk students in the Lauderdale Lakes and surrounding cities. As a result, Central Charter School opened its doors in August 1997 and served approximately 159 students in grades K-2.

Today, Central Charter School is a K-8 (Kindergarten through the Eighth Grade) Center. It has become an essential organization in the community. It has served numerous students who have gone on to make their mark in society. For example, some of our former students are pursuing degrees in medicine, education, and law. Moreover, we attribute our success to the dedicated administration, faculty, and staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that students get a well-rounded education. It is our determination to stay on the path of excellence in education and continue to impact our local and global communities positively.

**Job Summary**:
Central Charter School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary/Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As an Elementary/Middle School Spanish Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping young minds, fostering academic growth, social development, and emotional well-being in a positive and engaging learning environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment to promote active learning
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success
- Implement behavior management techniques to maintain a productive classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Utilize technology resources to enhance instruction and student learning experiences
- Provide guidance and support for students' personal and academic development
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid FLDOE teaching certification required
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and educational best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- Proficient in proofreading written materials for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
