This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position. LTE positions do not automatically lead to permanent state employment or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employees; however, these positions do offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Justice and the State of Wisconsin.
**Hours of Work**: It is anticipated that this position will work part-time (approximately 20 hours/week) and allows for flexible hours.
**Headquarters**: This position is headquartered at the Risser Justice Center located at 17 West Main Street in Madison.
Position Summary
Salary Information
The Community Service Technician - LTE position is in pay schedule / pay range 07-05. The starting pay will be between $21.24 - $26.58. Pay for current or former state employees will follow the provisions found in the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire.
Job Details
This position is in-person, reporting to the headquarters in Madison at the Risser Justice Center. Travel to the headquarters is not eligible for travel reimbursement.
This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and is limited to the maximum of 1039 hours in a 12-month period. Limited Term Employees must be a resident of Wisconsin. This position is expected

**Qualifications**:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, a well-qualified applicant will have education, training, and/or experience in the followin g: Working with sensitive/confidential information and/or documentation Working with external agencies as a liaison (e.g. communication with law enforcement, medical providers, victim/witness, employers, etc. in the course of job duties) Referencing or interpreting statutes, policies, and/or procedures.
