Residential Counselor - Per Diem_**

**Program**: CREC River Street School (RSS) Residential Program
- **Location**:Group Homes in Bloomfield - Sylvan Way**Responsibilities**:
Full and part time, first, second, and third shift (including weekends) positions in a DDS licensed Group Home. Schedule may be adjusted to meet Program needs, training and/or meetings.

Will assist the Group Home Manager and Assistant Residential Director in all aspects of operating the Group Home, providing treatment to the residents and assuming responsibility for all aspects of home operation and treatment during those assigned hours and/or in the absence of the Group Home Manager.

Will assist the Group Home Manager in advocating for, protecting, and supporting the residents.

Required to implement and document residents’ treatment goals and programs, interact professionally with others involved in residents’ life and treatment, and assist residents in community-based activities.

**Requirements**:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities (e.g., ASD) Autism and/or experience working in a residential environment required.

To complete or acquire General First Aid, Community CPR, complete DDS Medication Certification Training and Safety Care Training.

Need to obtain and maintain a STV and / or CDL School Bus License.

Must submit to Fingerprinting and DCF Background Check upon hiring.

Five or more years related experience strongly preferred.

Must be able to pass a two-day safety care training program without restrictions
