Worship Leader

The Gathering Church, a vibrant and growing family-oriented community, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Contemporary Worship Leader to join our team. Located in the heart of the Shore Acres neighborhood of St. Petersburg, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment for all ages. If you have a heart for worship, a talent for leading contemporary worship services, and a desire to be part of an active church family, we would love to hear from you.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Help design, organize, and implement a ministry using music, art, musicians, and tech teams to create an environment where de-churched and unchurched people notice and connect with Jesus. Furthermore, help design and organize a worship experience where everyone is ultimately led to celebration and adoration of Jesus.
- Grow a pool of talented musicians who buy into the mission, vision, and values of The Gathering Church of St Pete.
- In coordination with the lead pastor, select music, recruit musicians within and outside of the church, help rehearse the team, and lead worship on a weekly basis.
- Technically assist and help with the sound and multimedia systems for our current worship experience and special events.
- Design a musical platform that will support a dynamic worship experience for our current worship experience utilizing volunteers and, as need requires, paid musicians.
- Participate in team meetings with staff & lead pastor. Lead weekly voice and instrumental rehearsals.

- Demonstrate musical proficiency in production of arrangements and musical flow. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrate walk with God and ability to lead others spiritually.
- Proficient in playing at least one musical instrument (preferably acoustic guitar as a main instrument).
- Knowledge of CCLI, multimedia, and sound systems.
- Ability to take input and direction and produce tangible results.
- Ability to adjust quickly and gracefully to last minutes changes.
- Able to lead vocally & instrumentally.
- Ability to build and lead solid God-centered teams.
- Able to lead dynamic and engaging worship.
- Able to thrive in stressful situations.
**Educational/Vocational/Experience**:
Associate Degree and a minimum of three years' experience working within the music industry
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $350.00 per week
Expected hours: 6 - 8 per week
