**TEMP RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II - BIOCONJUGATION**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Design, execute and optimize bioconjugation strategies for linking ASOs, siRNAs, or other oligonucleotides to antibodies, peptides and other ligands with a variety of bioconjugation chemistries.
- Purify conjugates utilizing common FPLC / HPLC methodologies.
- Characterize conjugates using a variety of analytical techniques, including chromatography, gel electrophoresis, DLS and mass spectrometry.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in medicinal chemistry, cell biology, and drug discovery to advance project objectives related to targeted delivery.
- Data analysis, troubleshooting, and contributing to project planning and strategy discussions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with 2+ years of laboratory experience in bioconjugation.
- Hands-on experience generating and purifying antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) or similar targeted drug delivery systems. Oligonucleotide payloads are a plus.
- Proficiency with and mechanistic understanding of common bioconjugation chemistries including SPAAC and Maleimide.
- Proficiency in common analytical techniques including HPLC, FPLC, mass spectrometry, and SDS-PAGE.
- Strong understanding of protein structure and function.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project needs in a fast-paced research environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams.

The hourly pay scale for this position is $30.70/hour to $48.49/hour
