Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Review and analyze medical records for coding and billing purposes
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation
- Update patient records with accurate information
- Assist in managing care coordination processes
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology in daily tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in medical coding or related field
- Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
- Knowledge of managed care principles
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
