ABOUT THE HOTEL DRISCO

The Hotel Drisco is the premier luxury boutique hotel in San Francisco, renowned for its traditional elegance and highly attentive service. Located on Pacific Avenue atop San Francisco's charming Pacific Heights neighborhood, and with only 43 rooms, a stay at the Hotel Drisco is an intimate and highly personalized experience. The hotel is a short walk from sweeping views of the Golden Gate, the rugged beauty of the Presidio and the sophistication of world class restaurants and shopping boutiques along Sacramento, Fillmore and Union Streets.

ABOUT THE TURNDOWN ATTENDANT POSITION
- Every one of our employees is an ambassador for the Hotel Drisco, and for San Francisco. The Turndown Attendant will be an exceptionally friendly individual who enjoys engaging people in conversation and serving as an advocate for the guests' needs.
- This position reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nightly turndown service for all assigned guestrooms. Duties include, but are not limited to, turning down the bed, removing trash, replenishing used towels and products, providing ice and cookies, and basic housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Work is often performed alone, but may at times be performed with a coworker.
- All other duties, including but not limited to regular servicing of guestrooms, as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager, Operations Manager, or Managing Director.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience, hotel/resort preferred.
- Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. and be able to climb stairs.
- Ability to not only communicate effectively in English, but to be friendly and polite with guests at all times, smiling and greeting guests whenever encountered.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Maintains excellent relationships with colleagues, managers and employees.
- Meets legal age requirements for the position.

- Versatility, flexibility, and an ability to excel in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Previous housekeeping experience is preferred. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill and ability.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; go up and down stairs, bend, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must be able to push and pull equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.

Knowledge of proper chemical handling procedures; familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies.

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate.

PAY SCALE

The pay scale for this position is $23.81 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual wage rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, and education.
