***Job Description Summary**:
TriStar PLM Solutions is looking for an IT Technician and IT assistant whose primary duties are managing the installation and maintenance of office computer hardware and software programs. Maintains, repairs, and upgrades operating/network/data systems and provides end-user support services. Applicant must be comfortable working on a variety of platforms and have knowledge of Windows PC/Macintosh hardware/software.
- A higher technical degree is required for the IT Technician position

- Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual.
- Reacts productively to interruptions and changing conditions.
- Repairs & maintains company equipment
- Working knowledge of VMware, virtual networks, and vSphere
- Protocol for office, lab, and manufacturing environments
- Works efficiently with limited supervision. Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures hardware and software compatibility. The IT Technician receives, inspects, and tests equipment/software.
- Maintains an effective configuration management system. Sets up LAN, WAN, terminal services, and Wi-Fi networks and maintains file servers (e.g., users, space allocations, backups, etc.)
- Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and repair of electronic systems and computers, as well as a solid mechanical aptitude
- Solid knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair with attention to detail
- Ability to speak effectively before customers and act in an advisory capacity
- Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in the business environment and a commitment to professionally represent TriStar
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Performs other specific job-related duties as directed including office re-supply, trash/clean-up, and warehouse tasks.

**COMPENSATION**
- Full-time M-F employment
- Competitive salary starting at $45,000 to $60,000/yr. _(depending on experience and skill set)_
