**Nature and Scope of Job**
We are seeking a Data Scientist to support our client improve the way they manage and utilizes data within the organization. Primarily responsible for development and lifecycle management of digital modeling assets and analyzing scientific and combination product performance data. Leverage in-silico and data-driven modeling to evaluate potential opportunities that enable changes in business and operation performance.
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Tackle challenges and excels at enabling insights for decision making using data-driven and physics-based modeling.
- Develop, enhance, automate, and manage analytics and data-driven models.
- Provide input to management for trends and failure investigation process improvements.
- Demonstrate modeling and visualization approaches as part of proof-of-concept projects.
- Transform ambiguous business and technical questions into measurable and impactful projects.
- Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills to explore new opportunities in in-silico and data-driven models for combination products.
**Additional Responsibilities**
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and supporting special projects.
**Qualifications**
- Physics based simulation, modeling, and data analysis experience.
- Experience with programming in Python, MATLAB, JMP, and/or Minitab for engineering purposes.
- Experience implementing codes in direct impact situations.
- Experience with model simulation and analysis (MS&A) techniques for structural, fluidic, and heat transfer problems using commercial software such as ANSYS, LS-Dyna, ABAQUS, COMSOL.
- Experience with mathematical/first principles modeling, numerical techniques, and uncertainty quantification such as Monte Carlo simulations.
- Experience with silicone modeling tools.
**Education & Certifications**
- PhD - zero years of experience OR Masters with 2 years of experience.

**Compensation**
Salary/Hourly Rate Range (W2): USD 42.00- 50.00
Full-time employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability, hospital indemnity, accident, and critical care coverage.
Both full and part time employees, who are at least 21 years of age, are eligible to participate in USDM's 401k plan. Full and part time employees may be eligible for paid time off.
