**Position Overview**:
The Program Management Director will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives across the Investment & Capital Markets (I&CM) division’s portfolio of technology investments, specifically covering the assets and/or use cases supporting the I&CM teams including, but not limited to: Asset Liability Management, Cash Window, Finance, Accounting, and Counterparty Credit Risk Management.

**Our Impact**:

- The I&CM division is responsible for executing liquidity, financing, credit risk transfer, and derivative transactions as well as managing Freddie Mac’s portfolio of single-family securities and loan investments in the retained portfolio. The division also leads certain enterprise-level functions related to financial / capital /risk forecasting, model governance, payments, counterparty risk and third-party risk.
- I&CM’s Enterprise Forecasting Team is responsible for the development of a forecasting engine that forecasts every loan, security, and significant accounting event for the firm, including the resulting risk and capital positions. This shared service supports nearly every risk decision in the firm, including automated underwriting, distressed loan decisioning, the profitability and risk of capital market decisions, the evaluation of credit and counterparty risks, related accounting disclosures, and capital strategy.

**Qualifications**:

- 10-12 years of relevant experience
- Written and communication skills ranging from detailed specifications and documentations to writing meaningful grounded content for senior management
- Strong emotional intelligence (EQ), sense of humor, positive outlook, and integrity a must
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment and lead multiple projects and tasks
- Results-oriented, creative, and forward-thinking problem-solver with a can-do attitude and ability to deliver business value quickly and with quality
- Business domain specialty in financial market instruments (e.g. mortgages, securities, derivatives, primary markets, secondary markets, hedging)
- Business domain specialty in financial market disciplines (e.g. Trading, Finance, Accounting, Middle Office, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Asset Liability Management,),
- Business domain specialty in financial technology (e.g. models, analytics/metrics/stress testing frameworks, data and database management, user interface / user experience, dev/ops).

**Keys to Success in this Role**:

- Very strong attention to detail, ability to manage process, and follow through on tasks, with significant organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to collaborate with senior developers on: (1) preparation of content for usage in stakeholder communications and planning; (2) curation of the pipeline/backlog of development to meet milestones; (3) identification and specification solutions to technical debt; (4) coordination of end-to-end platform or workflow integrations; (5) confirmation of testing validations, pre and post development; (6) coordination user testing and sign-offs
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholders; solicit and challenge requirements; and partner with other areas to create an effective organization and culture around transactions and model analytics
- Excellent writing and communication skills for detailed specifications; ability to contribute detailed visual (diagram) content; ability to communicate project/program/sprint activities and expectations to junior/mid-level users/stakeholders and program management directors and senior developers
- Ability to work effectively with continuous change, managing context switches and adapt levels of effort to be in line with priority updates
- Participation in the coaching, professional development of BTO peers, junior team members and cross-divisional teams, as needed
