**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
**What you will do in this role**:

- ** You will coordinate the clinical management of the stroke patient population across the entire continuum of care.**:

- ** You will serve as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative.**:

- ** You will act as a clinical resource/ role model for all areas caring for stroke patients.**:

- ** You will provide and/or coordinate educational activities for both staff and patients.**:

- ** You will oversee implementation of The Joint Commission stroke guidelines.**:

- ** You will need analytical skills necessary in order to develop and implement program plans, education techniques, and evaluate program effectiveness..**:

- ** You will perform concurrent review of stroke patients for core measure compliance.**

**What qualification you will need**:

- ** Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.**:

- ** Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.**:

- ** Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).**:

- ** Three year’s recent clinical experience in an Acute Care Stroke/Neuroscience Unit.**:

- ** BLS, ACLS required.**:

- ** Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Office.**:
