We are seeking an organized, results-driven individual who will approach each workday with an OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE mindset.

Under the direction of the VDOL Senior Program Administrator, the VDOL Program Support Specialist will support federal and state programs to provide technical assistance and high-level customer service to VDOL staff, training providers and educational institutions to insure effective operation and expansion of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and State programs. This position will provide information on the benefits and requirements of WIOA and state programs to encourage participation of jobseekers and training providers, ensure proper enrollment in programs, evaluate program standards and verify compliance of programs with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. Incumbent will participate in training and compliance monitoring for all federal and state programs.

This position is based in Montpelier. Remote work eligibility and scheduling is determined on a case-by-case basis, based on the needs of the Department, and must be consistent with State and Department policies.

**Environmental Factors**:
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office setting. Attendance at a wide range of meetings requires that private means of transportation be available and may require work outside of normal office hours. Travel to regional offices, meetings held both in and out-of
- state, may be required. Extensive interaction with employers and various organization representatives.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree.
OR
Associates degree AND five (5) years or more of professional level experience in employment programs, human resources, community or economic development, individual case management, education or occupational skill instruction, or marketing or business relations.
OR
High School diploma AND seven (7) years or more of professional level experience in employment programs, human resources, community or economic development, individual case management, education or occupational skill instruction, or marketing or business relations.
