Lifeguard

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a responsible and attentive Lifeguard to join our team starting Memorial Day Weekend. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests at our pool facility. Your primary duty will be to monitor swimmers, enforce safety rules, ensure equipment and fixtures are working properly and respond quickly to any emergencies that may arise.

This is a vital role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all pool visitors. Success in this role will be demonstrated by your ability to maintain a safe and fun environment while keeping facility safety risks to a minimum.

**Duties**:

- Monitor swimmers and ensure their safety at all times
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent accidents
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents
- Perform pool maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and checking chemical levels
- Provide excellent guest service by answering questions and assisting with inquiries
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area to identify any potential hazards
- Maintain a level of physical competence to carry out the job
- Demonstrate respect for yourself, other employees, members/patrons and guests

**Requirements and Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Lifeguard is preferred but not required
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must possess current Lifeguard certification
- Knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and other lifesaving techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong swimming skills and physically fit
- Excellent observation skills to quickly identify potential risks or hazards
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and provide instructions clearly
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Must be able to work outdoors and in the sun for extended periods of time. Shade, water and breaks will be available.
- Willing to work weekdays and some weekends
- Shifts available Tuesday through Sunday, 9am-3pm and 3pm-9pm. 1 meal per shift included._

We offer competitive pay rates for this position. The specific rate will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 36 per week
