Kennel Technician

Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners and visitors
- Assist with the care and handling of animals in the kennel
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Feed and administer medications to animals as directed by veterinary staff
- Exercise and socialize animals to ensure their well-being
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to veterinary staff
- Assist with grooming and bathing of animals as needed
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatments

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred
- Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Knowledge of basic dog training techniques is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from veterinary staff
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed

Pay: $14.35 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5.5 - 29 per week
