**Description**:
Under direction of a designated supervisor, to assist in the operation of the rehabilitation services department through maintenance of the clinical environment and providing administrative and clinical support to the Assistive Technology Unit.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Prepares and cleans mat tables; keeps equipment clean, properly stored, and ready for use; cleans and organizes work area; disinfects returned equipment after treatment; and batches chemical equipment to keep them in order.
- Under direct supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant, assists patients with canes, walkers, and rollators.
- Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients practicing exercises and performance of activities of daily living, under direction of therapy staff.
- Assists patients with dressing and undressing using adaptive equipment during field visits.
- Observes patient during treatment to help write evaluation or implementation report.
- Performs maintenance duties on wheelchairs.
- Assists with reception, scheduling patients, taking messages, photocopying, data entry, and other clerical duties as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications Required**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
