Description:
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Financial Planning and Analysis**
- Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast by division/product line (vs. budget)
- Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution
- Analyze financial results; Develop recommendations
- Assist in development of financial planning, assuring that plans are consistent with organizational goals
- Lead initiatives to continually enhance reporting processes and the preparation of financial statements, including the adoption of advanced automation tools and dynamic reporting systems. Aim to provide deeper insights and more actionable data to senior management

**Accounting Activities**
- Manage a stringent month-end close schedule, setting and enforcing deadlines across all financial departments to guarantee timely and accurate reporting. Introduce enhanced project management tools and techniques to keep all team members on track.
- Conduct thorough internal reviews of month-end financial results, analyzing variances and making necessary adjustments to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial statements prior to their release. Foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement in financial reporting.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff (Sr. Accounting Manager, AP/AR)
- Supervise, billing, receivables, payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, sales tax reporting, and general ledger functions (two-person team).
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation
- Manage the preparation of all financial reports
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
- Serve as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits
- Lead initiatives to continually enhance reporting processes and the preparation of financial statements, including the adoption of advanced automation tools and dynamic reporting systems. Aim to provide deeper insights and more actionable data to senior management.

**Cash Management**
- Oversee weekly cash management; Approve weekly payables
- Oversee AR management and provide support to collections activities
- Manage cash for multiple operating sites

**Other Responsibilities**
- Assists with implementing and upkeep of financial controls within the corporate-wide ERP system.
- Assure appropriate use of Epicor’s ERP system and adopt new business practices as part of newly modeled processes. Becomes a change-agent in support of new ERP practices.
- Strengthen coordination with various departments to ensure that all financial information is consolidated accurately and efficiently. Work closely with operations, sales, and HR to validate financial data, ensuring it reflects the true financial performance and position of the company.

**Requirements**:
**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, including CPA or CMA.
- Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, in a manufacturing environment.
- Cost accounting experience required.
- Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment preferred.
- Must be able to be strategic and tactical in skills and execution. Must have ability to roll up their sleeves and have a “get it done” attitude.
- Detail-oriented with excellent planning, analysis and execution abilities.
- Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this position.
- ERP experience (preferably Epicor) required.
- Strong team player with solid organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Private Equity experience a plus
- Ability to travel (domestic) ~25%
