This role will allow you to take the next step in your career serving as a liaison between customers and the development team to increase design efficiency and business systems integration. You will provide pre and post-sales support regarding design automation for engineering software products.

This role has the opportunity to be remote. Those local to the **Germantown, WI** area, will be able to work closely with the local team and client base.

**Responsibilities**:

- Determine and develop user requirements for custom software chances, to ensure maximum usability
- Support the engineering software sales process by helping create and support statement of work documentation and other project supporting documents
- Work with the Customer Service, Business Development and Project Management teams to support pre and post-sales efforts
- Analyze customer needs, prepares specifications, design modifications, and makes recommendations leading to the most efficient use of engineering software integration and automation improvements
- Provide technical support though the creation of internal and external user documentation
- Responsible for working with stakeholders to define organizations business requirements in order to shape the output of projects and ensure they deliver the expected business benefits
- Investigate problems and data discrepancies, diagnose root causes, identify problematic trends, and work on resolving them Collaborate with the development team to plan the timing of and coordinate upgrades, patches, and enhancements

Qualifications:

- Experience in software development methodologies and documentation (Agile or SAGe)
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Understanding of engineering processes and terms
- Strong presentation skills
- Understanding of process improvement and workflow creation
- Skilled at problem solving, basic project management, basic negotiation, and effective written/oral communication
- Strong time management skills
- Proficiency in technical writing
- Ability to facilitate a team to consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions
- Familiarity with requirements techniques such as user stories, use cases, and informal modeling
- Ability to travel locally and in the region (WI, IL, and Upper Michigan)
