The Site Director is a member of the Grantee Management team. He/She administers the program in accordance with policies of the agency, as outlined in the Head Start Performance Standards, agency plans, personnel handbook, OCFS and National Association for the Education of Young Children (accreditation), and other educational collaborations such as Pre-K, etc. The site director is responsible for the overall organization, and day to day operation of a Head Start site. Coordinating and integrating of the total program, education, health, social services, mental health, disabilities, nutrition, and maintenance to meet the needs of the children and parents served.

Productivity:

- Hiring and termination of staff, with assistance of Human Resources Director.
- Orient and mentor new staff.
- Complete and assist with coding purchasing vouchers and maintaining fiscal records at site.
- Supervise purchasing and ordering of supplies.
- Maintaining the facility is in good repair to ensure safety of the children, parents and staff.
- Ensuring menus are planned that are nutritionally sound for children.
- Provide monthly reports to Executive Director.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings and system (component meetings bi-weekly).
- Ensure transition activities happen: Head Start to kindergarten, Early Head Start to Head Start.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to administering a comprehensive early childhood program (e.g. public administration, human services management, early childhood education, social work, psychology or related field) and/or able to meet qualifications required by OCFS as a Director
- Three to five years management experience relevant to Early Childhood Program Management.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
