Direct Care Staff provides assistance and support to individuals with developmental disability related to activities of daily living, self-help, safety, and socialization.

Expectations:
- To ensure the supervision, safety, and well-being of the clients at all times.
- Monitors and supports the residents' health and well-being and reports observation to the Behaviorist, Administrator and Facility Manager.
- Able to provide documentation of client status, behavior, and treatment responses.
- Able to participate in the maintenance of a clean, safe, healthful, and nurturing environment.
- Provides quality training and positive interaction with residents at all times.
- To ask questions and learn as much as you can from those around you.
- To promote learning, growth, socialization and independence of the residents.
- To develop relationships with fellow staff. Be able to work as a team with other staff.
- To go above and beyond for the individuals we care for.
**Requirements**:
- You need to be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED
- All personnel shall be in good health, and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks. Good physical health shall be verified by a HEALTH SCREENING/PHYSICAL, including a TEST FOR TUBERCULOSIS (TB test), performed by or under the supervision of a physician not more than one year prior to or before employment.
- Ability to respond to any and all situations that occur within the facility to ensure the safety of all clients and staff.
- Ability to clear a criminal background check with DOJ/FBI.
- Speak, read and write in English.
- Attends and completes orientation as assigned.
- Completes First Aid and CPR certification and maintains current.
- Must have open availability including weekends and holidays.
