Purchasing Coordinator

**Walton, KY | Full-Time Position**

**Job Summary**:
Manages procurement process of all raw materials for the production of finished goods while maintaining competitive pricing and quality. Ensures all tasks are performed in a safe manner, observing cGMP and quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees the material movement from vendors to manufacturing facility in conjunction with shipping/receiving.
- Determines inventory levels and requirements by analyzing material requirements through the MRP system and production schedule.
- Establishes and/or manages vendor relations.
- Interacts with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
- Updates ERP system with data relating to purchasing such as latest vendor information, pricing, lead times etc.
- Negotiates pricing and shipping terms with suppliers.
- Interacts with new product development team for prototype and pilot builds of new products.
- Attends as required, to support projects, production, planning and vendors.
- Works in accordance with and enforces all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers SOP’s and Work Instructions.

**Qualification**s:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office, Crystal Reports and ERP experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- 3-5 years of purchasing, inventory, and cost control experience in a manufacturing setting required.
- Chemical procurement experience required.

**Physical Requirements**:
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

**Salary**:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
