Appellate Paralegal

**Counsel Press' New York, NY location **is searching for a full time paralegal to join a seasoned team in the preparation of our client’s appellate filings. Our New York location is a fast paced environment with a solid team. We offer extensive training to ensure your long term success, and the long term success of our team members. Counsel Press is a nationwide legal services provider that annually assists over 1500 attorneys with the successful filing and service of over 11,000 appeals. Our New York office is seeking the right individual to train as our newest appellate paralegal alongside our established team. The primary service provided to our attorney clients is the rule compliant filing of appellate briefs and records in the New York state appellate courts and United States Courts of Appeals.

*Experience in a fast paced legal environment

*Familiarity with basic legal documents

*Demonstrate great attention to detail at all levels

*Clear, effective communications

*Ability over time to master the rules of courts we work within

*Ability to work closely with our team of staff attorneys, paralegals, and production staff

*Ability to multi-task and successfully manage a variety of demands each day

*Ability to rapidly learn a task and master it soon after

*Computer experience

*Ability to be a highly contributing part of the team on a daily basis

**Areas of Primary Responsibility**:
*Perform paralegal duties in preparation of our client appellate documents (See qualifications)

*Communicate with our Staff Attorneys and our clients on their job requirements, pass this communication to the appropriate staff internally, or execute the requests personally

*Assist in other areas of our daily operations as needed

Work Remotely
- Hybrid

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
