Our crews exclusively install geothermal ground source heat exchangers every day, making Midwest Geothermal the contractor of choice in Michigan and across the United States.

**Who We Need**

Our company is rapidly growing and we are looking for Driller Assistants to join our team This is an entry level opportunity to start a career on a path to become a Drill Rig Operator. Starting base pay is $20-30, based on experience and job assigned to, with prevailing wage opportunities for additional income. Must be reliable and willing to travel when needed as we do work all over the country. We offer a full benefits package and per diem and lodging for all out of town travel.

**Responsibilities**
- Assists the drill rig operator in the safe and efficient operation of the drill rig
- Assists in the maintenance and repair of the drill rig
- Assists in the loading and unloading of drill rig components
- Assists in the preparation of the drill site
- Assists with other on-site responsibilities including site cleanup and grouting of bore holes
- Ensures that all safety protocols are followed
- Monitors the drill rig and its components for any sign of malfunctions or damage

**Requirements**:

- Ability to travel - Per diem and housing costs will be provided
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work long hours
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid drivers license (CDL a plus)

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
