Facilities Manager
**Maintenance, Operations, Safety and Security**
Lutz Preparatory Elementary and Middle Charter Schools
**Purpose**
Oversee custodial, maintenance and related duties to ensure a safe, efficient and attractive charter school campus.
**Requirements**:
- No criminal record / Must pass a background check
- Pay fee of $80.00 to be fingerprinted by School District
- Dependable attendance
- A desire to work in a dynamic, student centered educational environment where higher expectations for job performance are the norm
- Capable of standing, walking and exertion for 8 to 10 hours/day in a maintenance environment. Comfortable lifting and carrying 50 pounds.
- Available to work as required including some evenings and weekends
- Works well with others from diverse backgrounds
Work days: M-F, Full time, Year round. Position does not follow the school calendar.
Must have Excel, Microsoft experience
**General Duties**
(Experience in maintenance and building supervision required, 60 hours of post-secondary education required, 21 years of age or older)
- Oversees, supervises, manages and handles all general maintenance for building and operations, custodial, fire, health and safety as well as facilitate security plan for buildings and grounds
- Coordinates all building construction projects including working with appropriate county agencies and receives approval from the Business Manager
- Meets with office weekly to ensure that facilities information is up to date and repairs are being made as needed
- Facilitates and gives feedback with student transportation issues including but not limited to drop off/pick up monitoring and procedures and related safety issues
- Handles all daily physical plant and grounds upkeep while supervising daily custodial services
- Review all contractual agreements and warranties to ensure appropriate operation of all machinery
- Coordinates building repair and maintenance activities receiving approval from Business Manager
- Meet with cleaning company to ensure that all contractual obligations and expectations are being met
- Schedule required maintenance meetings as necessary
- Maintain phones and radios
- Review Master Calendar on a regular basis to accommodate facility and custodial needs for scheduled events
- Develops emergency repair systems
- Devises programs aimed at reducing vandalism, theft, and arson
- Devise system of safeguarding school owned property
- Maintains system for locking, checking, and safe-guarding facility
- Maintains routine security procedures
- Supervises custodial services and performs custodial service as back up when current staff is absent
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
