As a Patient Care Coordinator at Mt. Vernon Center for Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the front desk operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent customer service. You will serve as the initial point of contact for our patients and contribute to the overall success of our practice.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patient Reception: Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanor, making them feel welcome and comfortable.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, optimizing the daily schedule for both efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and provide clear explanations of benefits to patients.
- Patient Education: Provide basic information about dental procedures and assist with informational materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a dental or medical front desk role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Proficiency in computer systems and dental software (experience with Dentrix is a plus).
- Compassion and a genuine desire to assist patients in their dental care journey.
- Knowledge of dental insurance procedures and billing practices is an advantage.
