The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is recruiting for a Limited Term Employment (LTE) Archivist position to work as part of the team at the award-winning Wisconsin Veterans Museum (WVM), sharing the stories of our state’s military veterans and their history-shaping exploits. The position is headquartered in the heart of Madison, close to the Capitol and State Street.

**Position Summary**

Under the general supervision of the Museum Assistant Director this position has overall responsibility for the digitization and creation of corresponding metadata for fully processed images from the Post-Civil War to World War I era in the holdings of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum archives.

**Salary Information**

The pay for this position is $21.00 per hour. This job does not offer employee benefits.

This position is in pay schedule and range 13-04.

This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.

**Job Details**

This position will work on a part-time basis working up to 20 hours per week.

LTE jobs are limited to 1,039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits.

Due to the nature of the positions, WDVA will conduct a criminal background check prior to an offer of employment.

**Qualifications**

**Minimally qualified **applicants will have experience with:

- Analyzing written content and render analysis in written format; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication; and

**Well-qualified **applicants will also have experience with at least **one** of the following:

- Archival principles and practices; **or**:

- Graphic, audio and moving image formats and the metadata requirements for their access and preservation

Per Wisconsin Statute 230.26, Wisconsin residency is required for LTE appointments.
