- **Job Description**_
- _Please note that this is a VERY part-time position._
- _We offer a 45-minute Preschool drawing lesson to ages 3.5 to 5 and a 60-minute Elementary and Cartoon drawing lesson to ages 6 to 12._
- _Class rate is $20-$28 per Preschool/Elementary/Cartoon class taught to children._
- _The Elementary and Cartoon lessons are taught right after the dismissal time in schools which is on weekdays during the school year. These classes are also taught to children in the evenings and weekend mornings in Recreation facilities._
- _Instructors are assigned to schools and stay with the same school throughout the term._
- _Instructors must follow the dismissal policy of the schools where they are teaching._
- _Instructors are responsible for motivating groups of children and guiding their behavior in a class environment._
- _We also offer Drawing workshops to children ages 6 to 12 during Summer, Winter and Spring School break in the Recreation facilities._
- **Art Teacher Requirements**_
- _Clean Background is required._
- _Teach our drawing classes at the schools in one or more of the above-mentioned areas in Young Rembrandts Chicago's Northshore territory._
- _Committed, reliable and trustworthy._
- _Applicants must have artistic ability, have the passion for teaching drawing to children and ability to manage children class size of up to 20 kids._
- _Experience teaching children is a plus but not a must have._
- _An art degree is a plus but not a must have._
- _Instructors must have their own transportation_.
- _Resume in either Microsoft Word or.pdf format_
- _Cover letter indicating your availability to teach (days of the week and times available), and work experience with children_
- _A sample of your artwork if you choose_
