Our Putnam, CT, location is currently seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler who has experience in a production manufacturing environment and possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.

**Company Overview**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for planning and scheduling all aspects of the precision manufacturing facility. Including the following processes:
a) Raw material procurement and preparation

b) CNC machining operations consisting of: CNC Lathe, Swiss, Mill, and EDM machines.

c) Outside vendor services

d) Internal finishing and assembly operations

e) Quality control operations

f) Shipping
- Ensure adherence to the production control schedule.
- Work with operations on all job releases.
- Create, analyze, and publish relevant performance metrics.
- Interface with all support functions including quality, engineering, purchasing, sales, and manufacturing operations to ensure that products are processed with the highest level of quality and delivered to the customer on time.
- Work closely with manufacturing and sales to ensure work order schedules are updated and distributed timely.
- Communicate with shop management and sales about any delays and potential setbacks.
- Support the sales and operations groups through pertinent metric reporting and summary of key capacity constraints.
- Assist with customer and vendor communication.

**Required Experience and Skills**
- 1+ years in machine shop environment.
- 1+ years planning/scheduling experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience using an ERP system.
- Proficient with general computer software.

**Other Qualifications**
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in general math.
- Available to work extra hours as needed.
- Self-motivated leader.
- Great attention to detail.
