**Major Duties**:
Serves as Program Manager for the Family Member Employment Assistance and Volunteer Management Programs, Personal and Professional Readiness Branch, Career Services Section, Marine and Family Programs Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Department, Headquarters Marine Corps. Serves as a responsible point of contact for oversight, interpretation, development and administration of the Family Member Employment Assistance and Volunteer Management Programs; mission, vision, goals, objectives, marketing and improvement, and organizational and development initiatives. Manages policy and plans, processes and procedures, program evaluation and the establishment of measurement processes and procedures. Manages family member employment services to assist family members in achieving their goals through employment, education or volunteerism. Manages, promotes, monitors and assesses volunteerism and volunteer placement satisfaction. Execute coordination and build partnerships with other Marine and Family Program components, installation volunteer coordinators, volunteer ambassadors, and community agencies. Conduct briefs, trainings, and presentations to internal and external customers and outlets. Coordinates, facilitates and executes plans and management initiatives to recruit, screen, track, train, evaluate and refer Marines, Sailors, and family members to volunteer opportunities within the Marine Corps installation and outside community based on assessment of their interests, skills and prior experience. Coordinates recognition ceremonies and public awareness efforts in conjunction with the Public Affairs Office (PAO), MCCS and the community to promote volunteerism for Marine and Family Programs Division.

**Management**

Independently conducts, reviews and recommends approval or disapproval of program plans and materials; analyzes and develops proposals or provisions in terms of impact on program resources requirements; develops new and revised operating procedures and standards for policy and planning to incorporate new and updated provisions that affect operating activities and requirements; conducts review of the administration and operation of the program, and provides advice.

**Analysis and Evaluation**

Develops and analyzes data to be used in preparing analytical and interpretative reports and guides on programming. Selects pertinent techniques for data collection to identify aspects of successful and unsuccessful program operations. Researches successful methods and techniques used by other local officials (Federal, state, local) and provides information on adapting and extending methods and techniques into new patterns to solve problems.

**Budget**

Monitors the operating budget for the programs. Computes financial data and statistics to prepare reports and forecast budgets for execution, and short and long range plans. Compares current and historical data to determine trends and anticipate future requirements.

Travels to complete work assignments and conduct or attend annual conferences and meetings. May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours.

**Qualifications**:
**BACHELOR¿S DEGREE** from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of position **AND THREE** **YEARS** of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, **OR** an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, **OR** appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.
