Diabetes Education Services (DES) is a thriving business located in Chico, CA. DES provides diabetes training courses and products to healthcare professionals across the country. At DES, we work diligently every day to provide diabetes information that is relevant, compassionate, and evidence-based for healthcare professionals who are ready to increase their knowledge and work toward diabetes certifications. Our courses, blogs and newsletter all aim to translate the complex science of diabetes into understandable terms.

**Position Summary**:This 30-40 hour per week position offers an unique opportunity to work for a successful women-owned company that has been serving the diabetes professional community for over 25 years. The Customer Advocate & Administrative Assistant will directly collaborate with Diabetes Education Services (DES) Founder & President, Beverly Thomassian, and Director of Operations, Bryanna Sabourin, with all aspects of running this multi-tiered, inclusive, dynamic, and innovative company.

**Qualifications**:

- Creates a lasting rapport and relationships with customers and affiliates.
- Ability to prioritize and manage both short-term and long-term projects to completion.
- Takes a high level of ownership on projects and consultant relations; design consultants, engineers, Learning Management Systems, etc.
- Possesses a diplomatic approach to collaboration, bringing fresh ideas and development of current processes.
- Will research and seek continual improvements for internal and user experience through automation and content evolution.
- An independent self-starter with team-oriented company goals.
- Strong public relations skills in writing, communication and a keen eye for graphic design.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with leadership on content creation and distribution for marketing, blogs, newsletters, social media, company apps, and product descriptions that anchor company values, brand, and goals.
- Track and report customer feedback to leadership to collaborate on process improvements based on customer concerns.
- Create company branding guidelines to build a consistent voice across different systems (social media, company websites, etc.).
- Ownership over product catalog, inventory, and customer order processing and shipment.
- Provide direction to leadership and design consultants for product packaging, web design, marketing copy, logos, advertisements, and visuals that keep our customer’s needs in mind.
- Build monthly marketing plans based on upcoming events and company goals.
- Event planning for annual live conferences and lectures which includes planning, travel, and production. Along with attending live conferences to represent the company and offer on-site customer support.
- Day-to-day operations & Special Projects - when needed the Customer Advocate & Administrative Assistant will work on day-to-day operational tasks and special projects to help DES’ Operations run smoothly. These tasks include but are not limited to, clerical work and routinely auditing our 3 websites to ensure content is current and accurate

**Preferred experience**: Microsoft Suites, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) Learning Management Systems (preferred), Wordpress (a plus, please mention in cover letter), live video platform, Shopify (or another e-commerce platform)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
