Job Summary

The College of Community Engagement and Professions (CCEP) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking to fill a **Student Well-Being Manager (Student Affairs Manager)** position. CCEP includes three schools: the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, the School of Education, and the School of Information Sciences serving over 3,400 students across undergraduate and graduate levels. Multiple disciplines are represented within each of these schools, such as social work, criminal justice and criminology, education psychology, teaching and learning, and information studies.

To help achieve this, we are seeking a dedicated Student Well-Being Manager who will play a vital role in fostering a positive and supportive campus environment for all of our students.

The Student Well-Being Manager will work at various ecological levels, including policy, program, and individual student. Specifically, the Manager will collaborate with CCEP leadership and other stakeholders to enhance department policies and ensure effective communication with the entire student body. Additionally, the Manager will organize engaging programs such as wellness gatherings, community-building events, and resource exchanges to promote a sense of belonging and well-being. Most importantly, the Student Well-Being Manager will provide direct support to students, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their full potential. By addressing the unique stressors our students face, the Manager will be instrumental in fostering a vibrant CCEP community.

Moreover, to ensure that the students have access to campus resources outside the CCEP, the Manager will liaise with the rich array of student support services on campus. These include the University Counseling Services; the Dean of Students Office; the Accessibility Resource Center; and the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In addition, the Manager will collaborate with the CCEP Assistant Dean of Student Services to track student well-being and success outcomes.

**The goals of the Student Well-Being Manager position are as follows**:

- To foster resilience, social connection, and mental well-being among CCEP students.
- To enhance academic performance and program retention among CCEP students.
- To promote sense of belonging, overall thriving, and academic success among CCEP students.
- To promote program completion and inspire alumni loyalty among CCEP students and graduates.

**The duties of the Student Well-Being Manager position are as follows**:

- To refine department policy and circulate regular communications to the student body.
- To organize social and wellness gatherings.
- To coordinate the community building workshop and resource exchange program.
- To develop and implement additional CCEP programming as needed.
- To collaborate with CCEP department chairs and the Assistant Dean of Student Services to identify and support students in need.
- To collaborate with the CCEP Assistant Dean of Student Services to track student outcomes.
- To report activity, accomplishments, and outcomes of the position to the CCEP Dean.

This full-time, fixed renewable academic staff position reports directly to the Dean of the CCEP. This is a **fully on-site position **with offices located in UWM’s Enderis Hall.
