**Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks**
- Responsible for complex matrix cleanup of various biological matter for the analysis of drugs of abuse.
- Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and regulations.
- Assures quality of all testing and notifies supervisor when test systems/personnel deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.
- Maintains accurate records, documentation and confidentiality.
- Prepares and or validates reagents and controlled materials.
- Maintains inventory of consumables.
- Performs routine maintenance on equipment, document performance on equipment logs. Identifies malfunctions and notifies supervisor when they occur.
- Initiate troubleshooting when issues necessitate within their department and communicate with other areas when required.
- Support the develop of new methodology and process improvement.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment.
- Adheres to safety guidelines.

**Schedule will be Sunday through Thursday 4:00pm to 12:30am**

**Requirements**:

- BS/BA degree majoring in one of the chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology sciences (16 semester hours of chemistry, which included at least 6 semester hours in inorganic/general chemistry; and 16 semester hours of biology courses). 3 semester hours of mathematics; and in-house laboratory training.
- Experience with documenting chain of custody and using ChemWare Horizon is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- All employees are expected to perform high quality work within deadlines, interact professionally with others, and work effectively independently and as part of a team.

**Special Position Requirements**

Lab positions generally involve handling of biohazardous materials. At times, overtime may be required.
