Registered Nurse

The Detox Nurse is responsible for all nursing related services for each patient and for linking patients to the physicians and to outside medical resources. Participates in the Interdisciplinary Team Meetings when necessary to inform the clinical team about medical issues and is available for emergency medical situations. The Detox Nurse provides all services under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The Detox Nurse is responsible for providing medical and history screens, providing routine nursing care, and overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the attending physician. They will also serve as a member of the Treatment Team and provide input into the development of the Master Treatment Plan.
- Graduate of accredited nursing program.
- Current FL RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting.
- Computer literacy and typing skills.
- Detoxification experience preferred.
- Experience delivering Health Education classes.
- Experience working in electronic health record.
