Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, coordinate, and lead vibrant and engaging Christian education programs for children and youth, including Sunday school, youth groups, Bible studies, and special events.
- Collaborate with the pastoral team, church staff, and volunteers to integrate children’s and youth ministries into the broader life of the church.
- Plan and execute retreats, mission trips, and community service projects designed to enrich the spiritual lives of young participants and foster a sense of community engagement and responsibility.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to assist with children’s and youth programs, and oversee both volunteers and staff, and ensure that all safety and protection policies are regularly reviewed and always implemented and adhered to throughout the program.
- Manage the budget for children’s and youth ministries, ensuring resources are used efficiently to support program goals.
- Stay informed on best practices in children’s and youth ministry and incorporate innovative approaches to ministry within the church setting.

Qualifications:

- A deep commitment to the Christian faith and a strong desire to nurture faith in children and youth.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree in Theology, Christian Education, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in children’s and youth ministry or a related field.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- A creative and innovative approach to ministry that resonates with children and youth.
- Experience working with children and youth in a church setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and the congregation.

Reporting Relationships:

- This position will report directly to the Senior Pastor. Additionally, the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministry will work collaboratively with all church staff for the effective coordination or programs, including our Associate Director of Music for children’s and youth choral opportunities, as well as the Children’s and Youth Ministry Committee, Session, and other committees of Session.

Compensation:

- Compensation: Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience with an anticipated range of $50,000 - $70,000 (with possibility of a church provided apartment).
- Job Opening Date: The position is currently open.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
