Wine Director responsibilities include:

- Wine list curation, including purchasing and developing vendor relationships
- Create staff beverage education materials
- Train, develop and motivate all staff to uphold Altamarea Group standards of excellence
- Actively engage in service and lead with a hands-on approach
- Take the lead in growing wine/beverage sales in the restaurant and develop strong guest relationships
- Maintain the wine cellar, the beverage storeroom, and execute monthly inventories
- Monitor and track key financial targets (revenue, beverage cost, labor cost, etc.)
- Comply with all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to safety, health, jurisdictional laws, and labor compliance

Wine Director requirements include:

- 4 years of restaurant industry experience preferred, with 2 years of experience working with beverage
- Solid foundation in French & Italian wine and & spirits
- Ability to multitask and plan ahead
- Ability to teach and encourage the restaurant staff to develop their wine knowledge
- Must have flexible schedule and open availability to meet business needs
- Physical requirements include but not limited to the ability to handle and carry trays, smallware, equipment, or other items up to 50lbs, and to stand, walk up and downstairs, and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience
