We are seeking a dynamic and talented Intake Counselor to join our team_**

Position Summary:_**

The Assessment & Referral Counselor is responsible for facilitating facility admissions by performing initial assessment and referral activities for all in-coming and potential patients, consulting with potential patients, patient families, medical staff and other hospital staff, and counseling patients and patient families with regard to current assessments, recommended referrals and recommended required levels of care.

Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensed preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in a mental health setting preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
