Materials Handler

Camp Pendleton, United States U.S. Marine Corps Full time

**Duties**:

- You will receive material delivered to the warehouse from the receiving station.
- You will issue material in stock to the maintenance shops and individuals, or refer them to the appropriate procurement technicians for material not stocked.
- You will establish and properly maintain all inventory files and records of issue/transfer reports.
- You will ensure that adequate levels of household and office supplies are on hand and replenish these supplies form the Self Service Center as required.
- You will pick up material from commercial vendors, central receiving, or other activities, as well as deliver materials to various shops and job sites.

- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Must have normal vision and hearing with or without corrective devices; depth perception; must be able to distinguish basic color.

- Must be able obtain and maintain a current valid State drivers license.
- Must be able obtain and maintain a forklift license up to 10,000 pounds capacity within 6 months of employment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a non-sensitive security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
